Honoring Scott W. Pray and D.F. Pray General Contractors
Recipients of the 2021 Anna Bissonnette Award
We are grateful to recognize Scott W. Pray and D.F. Pray General Contractors as recipients of the 2021 Anna Bissonnette Award for their philanthropic efforts throughout Greater Boston and their commitment to partnering with nonprofits like Hearth, to construct affordable housing for our most at-risk neighbors.
With Scott and his D.F. Pray team at the helm, Hearth at Four Corners is scheduled to open in April 2021, adding 54 units of service-enriched affordable housing for seniors in Dorchester. D.F. Pray’s dedication to constructing housing for the most marginalized in society has and will have a profound and direct impact on changing the lives of so many people. These commitments truly exemplify the spirit of this award’s namesake, Anna Bissonnette, and her mission to end elder homelessness.

Celebration and Award Gala
Hearth is excited to announce on November 5th, 2019 we will honor Eastern Bank at our annual Celebration and Award Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston. The evening will also include festive food and cocktail pairings and a House Warming Drive to directly benefit the residents and clients of Hearth as they move into their new homes.
We are grateful to recognize Eastern Bank as this year’s recipient of the Anna Bissonnette Award for their tireless work to ensure that neighbors across Massachusetts have equal access to food, employment, education, child care, basic necessities, and particularly a place to call home. Eastern Bank’s dedication to those most marginalized by society truly exemplifies the spirit of this award’s namesake, Anna Bissonnette. This commitment has directly impacted the lives of hundreds, if not thousands of our homeless, formerly homeless and at-risk clients and residents throughout our 28-year history.
This year’s Gala will also include opportunities to directly meet with Hearth staff to hear about their work as we end elder homelessness for almost 600 elders a year. This is a wonderful and interactive way to learn how the proceeds from the event will aid our efforts to end and prevent homelessness for adults over the age of 50 living in Boston.
Commitments made by October 22nd, 2019 will be printed in the invitation, and program booklet, and will be listed on our website. Click here to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, what they include, and print deadlines.
Can’t make it to the Gala and still want to participate, Then donate to our non-traditional auction and help make a house feel like home. Hearth’s House Warming helps formerly homeless elders furnish their homes with brand new home good items, easing their transition from homeless to housed.
If you have any questions, please contact Dana Green, Hearth’s Chief Advancement Officer, at dgreen@hearth-home.org or 617-369-1555.

Hearth's Celebration and Awards Gala
Hearth is excited to announce we are celebrating our 25th anniversary and we invite you to join us as we commemorate the many strides we have made in our mission to end elder homelessness.
On Monday, October 16, 2017 Hearth will honor Mayor Martin J. Walsh and pay tribute to the achievements of the seven founders of Hearth; Anna Bissonnette, Ellen Feingold, Elsie Frank, Diana Laskin Siegal, Sandra Albright, Joanne Bluestone, and Ruth Cowin, at our 25th Anniversary Celebration and Award Gala at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Please join us as we recognize these outstanding individuals, whose dedication to our community has made impactful changes for our most vulnerable citizens.
Proceeds from the gala will aid our work to end elder homelessness. Today, there are over 8,000 homeless adults over the age of 50 living in Massachusetts. With the likelihood of this number greatly increasing by 2020, our work in ending elder homelessness is more critical than ever before.
We are honored recognize Mayor Martin J. Walsh as the first recipient of the Anna Bissonnette Award for his dedication to creating more affordable housing; his initiative to end chronic homelessness in Boston; and his unwavering commitment to ensuring that seniors live their lives in with wellness and dignity. In keeping with Anna’s spirit and belief in helping others less fortunate, the award is bestowed to an individual who has had a profound and direct impact on changing the lives of Boston’s most vulnerable populations..
The success of our Celebration and Awards Gala will not be possible without your generosity. Consider sponsoring the Gala and help us to end elder homelessness.
Commitments made by August 18th will be printed in the invitation, and program booklet, and will be listed on our website.
To sponsor the Gala or purchase tickets online click here or if you have any questions, please contact Dana Green, Hearth’s Director of Institutional Advancement at 617-369-1555.
